Is Ho'omana Lomi Lomi Right For Me?
In ancient times, Lomi Lomi was family work, used to keep everyone in the home healthy and strong. The village healer acted as doctor, psychologist, pharmacist, physical therapist – treating the whole person.
Mind. Body. Spirit.
Ho’omana’s style of lomi comes from 6 lineages of Hawaiian elders who have entrusted Kumu Jeana Iwalani Naluai to share them with you.
Previous bodywork is not necessary.
Ho’omana Lomi Lomi trainings are for anyone who is ready to access their own healing legacy to serve their family, community and the world.
Lomi Lomi Fundamentals
Ho’omana’s core introductory training is the foundation and pre-requisite for all courses. Learn full-body massage that combines modern, scientific technique and ancient Hawaiian wisdom for healing at all levels:
* Proper assessment and treatment of injury
* How to create more harmony and balance through giving and receiving magical healing touch
* Ho’opono’pono, the Hawaiian’s clearing system to maintain energetic alignment and harmony with Spirit, self and others
Explore the living classroom of Maui: Visit the island’s most sacred energetic landscapes and Hawaiian temples. Learn about plant medicine, ritual cleansing at the mountain and the ocean. Take part in chanting ceremony.

Seated Lomi techniques – our foundational teachings, translated into a seated position – will give you a way to work on anyone anywhere anytime as long as you have a chair.
Cultural Enrichment: Learn about the sacred birthing pools of Maui. Learn the chant to welcome a Soul baby into the lei of Family. Give back to the community during Lomi Lomi outreach.

Kua Lua: Backwalking
Learn to heal with your feet, just as you do with your hands! Kua Lua is a method deeply rooted in ancestral lineage and physical alignment. Use hands, forearms, sticks, stones, knees and feet to release the body at its deepest level. With intention, notice as the physical body returns to improved alignment, the spiritual/emotional body will also align.
*Includes cultural enrichment. Learn Hawaiian initiation, activation and cleansing protocols in the living classroom of Maui

Jeana Iwalani Naluai
I am a Native Hawaiian. Lomi Lomi Instructor. Physical Therapist. Licensed Massage Therapist. Wife and Mother of 4. I am passionate about sharing Lomi Lomi and the spiritual teachings of Aloha.
I am the owner of Ho’omana Spa Maui, rated #1 Spa by TripAdvisor on the Island of Maui and Founder of Ho’omana Lomi Lomi Training, where I have helped thousands of students all over the world unlock the healer within and step into their own healing gifts.
As a kumu and Hawaiian cultural practitioner, my mission is to activate healers. I believe the students who join our Lomi ‘Ohana, family, are answering a call from generations past to carry this healing work forward to the present and future.
When you work with me, you’ll walk away with a set of tools for working with clients therapeutically, the knowledge of Hawaiian meditation, chant and sacred ceremony and a new awareness of the magic that exists in the world.

Ho’omana’s Lomi Lomi sources from the lineage of the Big Island. This Lomi Lomi comes from lineage holder Auntie Margaret Machado who has now passed on. The idea behind this Lomi style then is to bring the persons spirit, mindset and bones back into alignment, the practice is known as Ho’onohoiwi (bone movers) and is advanced in comparison to most level one trainings available. Our intention is to connect with the individual down to the level of the bones and is very specific and therapeutic work.
Because of the process of this style of Lomi, the courses are incremental; therefore students need to take our entry level course, otherwise student may be lost or injure themselves or patient.
When Lomi is a path that you are passionate about, no training will be wasted but will serve the greater understanding of the practice as a whole. Because you have learned in another lineage, it will assist you with a more rapid integration beginning with our Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Fundamental Training.
We would be honored for you to join our courses, and the pre-requisite of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Fundamental Training is required.
Yes. Courses can be taken individually, but keep in mind that Fundamentals is a pre-requisite course for every Ho’omana Lomi Lomi training. To request registration for single courses, please email [email protected].
After each course is completed, students receive a formal and certified certificate with the Nationally Approved Provider verification information for continuing education units. Currently, we are certified with:
- National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork: http://www.ncbtmb.org/
